Btw if you plan to use this, play as an ELF. It sucks ass early game and you gotta find ways to be useful early on, but once you reach lvl 15~ or so, you're gonna start raping everyone. Now, as for the "fun and not boring" classes, I would suggest:

Also, the starting classes don't really matter, they're just presets that give you your starting skill. They could be fun to do too, but, try it on subsequent playthroughs. Mixed damage (physical and magic) builds are pretty meh (inefficient, because you'd be dealing with BOTH physical and magic armor on enemies), and they're only good if you're RPing. However, since it's your first playthough, imo it's better to play a more "basic" setup. Since it's your first time, be prepared to spend 50 hours on the first Act, coz of "k I'm gonna play as X" followed by "hmm that build sounds cool" and then "maaan that sounds cooler" and then "holy shit you can do that? Time to restart again." There are a lot of possible ways to build your character, a lot of "normal" builds, and a lot of "abnormal" ways too. Don't worry about making a mistake, around 25% through the game you will gain the option to completely reassign all your points for free, so you can always change your mind later on. You can always completely customize your preset and reassign all the points to fit your vision of a build if you want to go for anything more specific or efficient. Presets that I would generally view as not terrible or misleading that go towards a rather straighforward build are probably these: "Battlemage" (very different from the preset with the same name). In general, you want to think about builds in these general archetypes: I'd generally recommend to avoid presets that mix physical and magical damage, because those only really work well together if you know what you're doing. You can mix and match any kind of skills, though they have varying synergies. What you choose is a preset that assigns your first few stats and skills.
